About Sidequests

Q: Why are you making a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page when you haven’t been around long enough for any questions to be asked at all, let alone frequently?

A: Because I can’t figure out anything else on the site to customize.

Q: How do I set up an icon for when I post comments on this site?

A: Go to:  Gravatar

Q: What is this comic about?

A: Once upon a time I used play an Online RPG with a man called Kingfox who once said:

CyberSphere is a role playing game with poor graphics.
Real life is a first person shooter with decent graphics.
Your call.

It was a joke told, for me, for the first time all those years ago.  Life is, to me, just a game. A game that happens to be made up entirely of side-quests because ask a hundred different people what the point of life is and likely you get a hundred different answers.  To paraphrase one of my personal heroes Bill Hicks, The world is like a game. And when you choose to play it, you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. And the game takes us up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills, and it’s very well rendered, and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while. Some people have been playing the game for a long time, and they begin to question – is this real, or is this just a game? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us. They say, “Hey! Don’t worry, don’t be afraid, ever, because, this is just a game.”

So remember to laugh.

Q: Who is responsible for this mess?

A: Shawn “Agent” Orrange:

Q: Hmmm he doesn’t look bright enough to handle a website, who got this thing posted up.

A: My friend Chris Syphrit is very web savy and helps me out. She does free lance web design. Check out something more representative of her work at http://www.chrissyphrit.com/

Q: Are you plugging her business in a shameless attempt to garner future web development favors?

A: Yes.

Q: Where can I learn more?

A: I keep a Livejournal and a Facebook. I have a Myspace, but I never update it. You can also follow me on Twitter.

Q: Don’t you think that the internet has enough web-comics?

A: Now that it has mine, yes. Everyone else can stop now.

Q: Are you done?

A: Not by a long shot.
